AWS Ground Station is a fully managed service that will enable customers to easily command, control, and downlink data from satellites. You can schedule access to AWS Ground Station antennas on a per-minute basis and pay only for your time used. Incoming data is streamed to an Amazon EC2 instance where it can then be stored or processed using other AWS services.

Traditionally, you needed to make significant capital investments to build ground stations for these communications, including the costs for servers and storage to process incoming data. This limits your ability to respond quickly to new business opportunities or significant events such as major weather events and requires you to operate and maintain a global network of ground antennas. With AWS Ground Station, AWS manages the ground station infrastructure, so you can focus on innovating and rapidly experimenting with new applications that process, analyze, and distribute satellite data.

Each Contact consists of a selected satellite, start and end time, and the ground location. You can review confirmed Contact times in your console and cancel or reschedule up to 15 minutes prior to the scheduled contact time. These instances will communicate with the AWS Ground Station antenna gateway using an ENI connection that exists between the EC2 instances and the satellite antenna for the duration of the contact.

Can I schedule time on an antenna in one location e. Oregon while I am working from another location e. Yes, AWS Ground Station is a global network of antenna systems that are available to users around the world. In fact, it will be common for many users to schedule time on antennas at every location in the global network. What is a Contact?

A Contact is a reservation to communicate with a specific satellite from an identified ground location between certain times. What happens when my scheduled Contact time arrives? Prior to the scheduled contact time, use the Amazon EC2 AMI to launch the required instances to communicate with the satellite. Just prior to the scheduled contact, these instances will be able to establish connections to the AWS Ground Station antenna gateway over an ENI connection.

Once the contact begins, the instances will begin sending and receiving data from the satellite. What happens if my requested Contact cannot be reserved? In the event your preferred Contact cannot be granted for example, due to existing reservations for antenna time at the chosen locationthe AWS Ground Station Management Console will provide available alternatives for your review. AWS Ground Station uses multiple measures to protect satellites from unauthorized contact.

Prior to allowing contact with a satellite for the first time, AWS onboards and identifies the satellite owner and associates the satellite and satellite owner with a designated customer account. The customer is then able to use that account with AWS Ground Station to schedule satellite contacts or authorize other AWS accounts to schedule contacts.

Prior to each contact, AWS validates that the contact will cause no radio interference. Customers are in complete control of the encryption keys used to authorize and encrypt data to the satellite. AWS Ground Station antennas are capable of using common frequency bands to communicate with satellites, including: S- and X.

How far in advance can I schedule Contacts? Reserved Minute Contacts may be reserved up to 21 days in advance and rescheduled up to 1 day prior to a scheduled contact. We look forward to helping everyone with their car repairs and questions, but please take the time to read this sidebar.

The problem is, I cant for the life of me find any info on where the ground is located. Maybe my google fu has failed me, but I would love to give it a shot if anyone could tell me, or show me a picture of where exactly it is. Assuming you have the 2.

That is located on the radiator side of the transmission bellhousing. Just to the right of the intake manifold and about level with the bottom of the manifold. I really dont know why I couldnt find the info, but sure as hell thats what I needed. Ill give it a good clean later today and see if that takes care of the issue.

I've taken it in to several dealers and shops and they've never been able to figure it out. I'll be driving and I'll hear a ding ding sound, my dash will display power steering, although rarely will I lose my power steering.

I think it's displaying that but is unrelated, but I don't know. The main stuff it does, though, is it will make my transmission shift very hard and jerky whether accelerating or decelerating. Often times if will stall out on me when decelerating or coming to a stop. Occasionally, when this happens, it will entirely lose power and the speedometer will jump around. Sometimes it will come on and last for several days, then go away on its own.

Ground Slam

Normally it won't cause the check engine light to come on, but about twice a year it does. I've had all of the recalls done. I've had the power steering motor done twice since it kept saying power steering on the dash. I've had 2 or 3 new transmission control modules installed and reprogrammed at the dealership.

I've taken it into the shop and they've never been able to fix it. The problem goes away for a little while, they think they fixed it and then it continues to come back. I've done a slew of research online and have never been able to find out what it could be; as everything suggested, I've already done.

Very frustrating and expensive. Please help. FordNut answered 5 years ago. Thanks for your prompt response, however I went to the website and clicked on the link that said: Repair Information for NHTSA and it takes me to carcomplaints. Oh, Okay, sorry I didn't know it would do that. Just pointing out the TSB's in case you didn't know about them.

This is a bit of a long shot, but have the battery tested, or just replace it if it is about 5 years old or older. My '06 Cobalt started doing weird electrical things. I knew the battery was getting weak, but didn't replace it for a while because it still started fine, even in the cold weather.

Finally I put a new one in and lo and behold the weirdness stopped. Your problems sound more serious than mine ever were, but its worth checking. Modern electrical systems are extremely sensitive and need to be kept in top condition if everything is to function properly.

The term "ground truthing" refers to the process of gathering the proper objective provable data for this test.

Compare with gold standard. For example, suppose we are testing a stereo vision system to see how well it can estimate 3D positions. The "ground truth" might be the positions given by a laser rangefinder which is known to be much more accurate than the camera system.

Bayesian spam filtering is a common example of supervised learning. In this system, the algorithm is manually taught the differences between spam and non-spam. In remote sensing"ground truth" refers to information collected on location.

Ground truth allows image data to be related to real features and materials on the ground. The collection of ground truth data enables calibration of remote-sensing data, and aids in the interpretation and analysis of what is being sensed. Examples include cartographymeteorologyanalysis of aerial photographssatellite imagery and other techniques in which data are gathered at a distance. More specifically, ground truth may refer to a process in which a " pixel " [3] on a satellite image is compared to what is there in reality at the present time in order to verify the contents of the "pixel" on the image noting that the concept of a "pixel" is somewhat ill-defined.

In the case of a classified image, it allows supervised classification to help determine the accuracy of the classification performed by the remote sensing software and therefore minimize errors in the classification such as errors of commission and errors of omission.

Ground truth is usually done on site, performing surface observations and measurements of various properties of the features of the ground resolution cells that are being studied on the remotely sensed digital image. It also involves taking geographic coordinates of the ground resolution cell with GPS technology and comparing those with the coordinates of the "pixel" being studied provided by the remote sensing software to understand and analyze the location errors and how it may affect a particular study.

Ground truth is important in the initial supervised classification of an image. When the identity and location of land cover types are known through a combination of field work, maps, and personal experience these areas are known as training sites. The spectral characteristics of these areas are used to train the remote sensing software using decision rules for classifying the rest of the image.

These decision rules such as Maximum Likelihood Classification, Parallelepiped Classification, and Minimum Distance Classification offer different techniques to classify an image. Additional ground truth sites allow the remote sensor to establish an error matrix which validates the accuracy of the classification method used. Different classification methods may have different percentages of error for a given classification project. It is important that the remote sensor chooses a classification method that works best with the number of classifications used while providing the least amount of error.

Ground truth also helps with atmospheric correction. Since images from satellites obviously have to pass through the atmosphere, they can get distorted because of absorption in the atmosphere. So ground truth can help fully identify objects in satellite photos. An example of an error of commission is when a pixel reports the presence of a feature such as trees that, in reality, is absent no trees are actually present. Ground truthing ensures that the error matrices have a higher accuracy percentage than would be the case if no pixels were ground truthed.

This value is the inverse of the user's accuracy, i. An example of an error of omission is when pixels of a certain thing, for example maple trees, are not classified as maple trees. The process of ground truthing helps to ensure that the pixel is classified correctly and the error matrices are more accurate. This value is the inverse of the producer's accuracy, i. In GIS the spatial data is modeled as field like in remote sensing raster images or as object like in vectorial map representation.

If the location coordinates returned by a location method such as GPS are an estimate of a location, then the "ground truth" is the actual location on earth. A smart phone might return a set of estimated location coordinates such as The ground truth being estimated by those coordinates is the tip of George Washington's nose on Mt.All content related to diesels is welcome here.

Ground locations on a Ford f superduty 7. I have electrolysis and I figure running new ground wires would fix it. Does anyone know where they ground out?

It would just save me time of fishing for them. Thanks in advance. Well the ones I can remember for sure are that both battery negative cables should attach at the frame below the battery boxes. There should be one on the back of the right side passengers side cylinder head that connects to the firewall near the top of the evaporator case. Then I believe there is a fairly large one at the front right side of the engine near the CMP sensor that connects directly to the frame right there next to it.

I may be confusing that with a 6. There should be one that connects on the underside of the cab about right in the middle of the passenger door doesn't matter what cab style you have IIRC. That's all the factory ones that I can think of off the top of my head.

I know my 7. I half-ass circled what I'm talking about in this pic. I believe that is an empty hole with no threads so all you have to do there is use a nut and bolt.

It attached to the frame at one of the factory mounts holes. I can't remember for what but it was some type of bracket for something on the frame and the ambulance builder just took one bolt out of that bracket and attached the cable and the reinstalled the bolt.

Make sure the rectifier diode is ok on your alternator and not allowing AC voltage to feed into your electrical system. This can cause electrolysis also. First for your thorough reply, i appreciate you taking the time. But, more important, after I fixed the electrolysis this weekend i was going to drop my alternator off to get rebuilt. I have a bad diode in my alternator.

Not sure if there's different ones l, or what they do really, but I tested it and the guy said I had a bad one.
