If you plan to do the install your-self in your home garage you will need plenty of high jack stands, a jack, some big sockets and patience. The rear of the truck will need to be jacked up really high to the point where there is no tension on the leaf springs or axle.
Once tires are off the ground use the jack stands to support the frame and axle in place. The front part of the gas tank will need to be lowered to gain access to the front drivers side leaf spring bolt as it was inserted from the inside.
For the tank to drop, fuel lines will need to be disconnected. Best way to do it is has almost no gas in the tank so it's easy to handle. Next you will see the 4 nuts underneath the axle that are connected to the 2 square u bolts the hold on the leaf spring.
Take them off and proceed to the rear and unbolt at the shackle. Once you finagle it out you will need a press to push out the front bushing of the leaf spring. They are easily done with a press but they can also be burnt out but it's a sticky rubber mess. Once out press in the unit from Caltracs and grease them up good. I personally bought units from ford racing and got a pair from ground force Go figure but they came with pinion shims which is nice to reset the pinion angle once lowered.
Now all is left is put it back together with the other supplied Caltracs parts. Also note there will be two alignment nubs that protrude out from the bottom of the leaf spring that fit onto the top of the axle to leave out alinment guess work. Also note to not install the bars until both sides are complete and the truck is on the ground level with normal weight in the bed.

The truck had a lot of wheel hop and would spin through first and second gear. I had a tune out on it and the truck was putting out a little over hp at the crank. I added these and I can say they aren't noisey and didn't really add any noticeable stiffness to the ride.Close X.

Your better bet would be to wait until after your lift kit was installed. I have a F with a 6 inch Rough County lift would this fit and help with my axel wrap that I have? I finished up the install in about 3 hours with no lift. The install went great and the product was made to the highest quality.
